Photography / Still Life / Dolls and Figures

I wanted to make something that looks like some CD cover or poster, and added a lot of texture to this shot. Here's the link for the half-edited shot, before all the texture and colour stuff: [link] . Nat's the only one not in this group shot, cos Hew's using his body, but I figured that story-wise, Nat isn't as involved in this group of OCs than Hew, so Hew gets in. Nat is also supposed to be younger, by the way.

There's actually a reason why they're posed this way, haha. It's cos Dennis and Hew aren't as stable standing as Gabby and Sion, so for safety sake (1 camera, 4 dolls, all expensive and precious...), I had them seated. I tried other poses but nothing turned out well. I'm wondering if the trick to getting multiple dolls in photos with their faces all sharp and in focus is the get a plain background and up the f number (aperture)? Well, anyway, I realised I don't have good shots of the twins together so far. :/

HAHAHA, why did you even think of that? Maybe he's just fiddling with his fingers, haha. Hm, I think with him you can never tell though.

Sorry! I think it is the contrast of the dark pant and his light coloured hands that caught my attention. But I really like their poses and even Sion's one too! XD

HAHAHA, I see. Well, anyway, I admit I kind of just poked his jointed hands into some sort of position, cos I was rather afraid he'll fall (he's standing on 1 leg, the other is bent and not supporting the weight at all). Thanks!

Beautiful hon! I never even thought to add texture to my photos till I saw this. It added a sense of drama.

Thank you! Actually, I wouldn't think of using textures if I hadn't seen some tutorial last time. Usually I don't use it cos it's hard to see the photo with textures, but I like the effect, and I want an excuse to use those photos of cement floors I took a long time ago, haha. And yes, I like how the texture gives that dramatic effect, although I suppose the colours help.

I wouldnt even know where to begin with texture. I tend to only edit in terms of color. Im new to editing photos. Usually I dont.

Usually I don't edit photos much either. Mostly tweaking levels or some slight colour correction. But sometimes I go a bit crazy and use like, alot of textures and effects on 1 photo. Haha.

hahhaahahah Just usually color edit. Such as if the picture came out too yellow or warm based. LOL
